Be a smart driver : Do not mistreat your tyres unnecessarily by overloading, fierce acceleration, harsh braking and fast cornering; these actions reduce the tread life of your tyres. Avoid driving over curbs and hitting potholes.
It is advisable to run in new tyres, just as the engine of a new car is run in. For the first 80km, speed should be limited to no more than 80kph. This allows the complex elements of the new tyres to adjust to each other in service conditions and can add many more kilometers to the tread life of your tyres.
Check wheel alignment : Properly aligned wheels can prolong tyre life significantly.
Keep your vehicle in good condition of your vehicle. Loose spring shackles, defective brakes, steering linkage wear, and a faulty shock absorber, for example, cause uneven and rapid wear on your tyres.
Remember, tyres are the only contact between yourself and the road. Look after them - your life is to a great extent dependent on it.
Unexpected inclement weather condition quite often resulted in flash flood. Caught in such a situation, it is always recommended not to attempt to drive through. However if you do not have a choice, as a precaution we wish to advise as follows:
Check the flood water level
If the water level is half the tyre height (approx. 300mm), water may enter the cabin causing damage to the electronic control units. In order to reduce the risk, drive your vehicle slower than 10km/h and try not to stop in the water.
If the water level is deeper than 300mm, do not attempt to drive through. Otherwise, it may result in
water hammering of engine, deformation of radiator and radiator fan, clogging of radiator fin, short circuit of wire harness and rust problem which are not covered under the New Vehicle Warranty and Private
Motor Vehicle Insurance Policy.
Should you have gone through the flood water, it is important to ‘dry’ the brakes, as the initial brake application would not be effective and may cause a rear end collision. It is recommended that you ‘ride’ the brakes, i.e. apply gentle pressure on the brakes while coasting for about 500m. The heat generated by the friction on the brake disc and pad would then dry up the pad for better efficiency. Be cautious when executing such a process and ensure there is no vehicle following closely behind.

The water cooling system has become the most widely-used system in passenger cars and commercial vehicles. The increasing requirements in terms of driving comfort (noise) exhaust gas composition, fuel composition and service life are difficult to meet unless the engine runs at the optimum temperature.
Instead of pure water, today in Nissan vehicles a mixture of water and Nissan Long Life Coolant (LLC) is exclusively used for corrosion protection especially for aluminum radiators. Nissan LLC is water soluble liquid and generally it accounts for between 35% of the total coolant volume, thus raising the boiling point of the coolant and permitting coolant temperature of up to 135°C at a gauge pressure of up to 1.5 bar. In short, Nissan LLC keeps your engine cool under extreme conditions and reduces your maintenance cost.
Now Nissan LLC comes to you at a special price of RM79.

(exhaust pipe, muffler, mounting)
The exhaust pipe and muffler will corrode gradually from the inside due to the action of moisture and sulfides during the exhaust gas emission process. Moisture in the surrounding air will also cause corrosion of the exterior surface of these parts. Damage will also occur due to the stones and other objects hitting the pipes and from the road while driving.
Exhaust mounting rubber will also deteriorate which may break and fail to support others exhaust parts. If deteriorated muffler is continuously being used will leads to perforation and loud exhaust noise. And the muffler may fall down from the vehicle finally.
Q&A Q1: If parked (not used) for a long time, the deterioration of muffler is accelerated?
A1: YES. Water vapor and chemical substances in exhaust gas form a corrosive liquid
inside the muffler. As the vehicle is not used for long time, such corrosive liquid is kept inside; the deterioration process will be accelerated.
Repeated short distance driving makes things even worse, as H2O a by product of combustion in the engine is accumulated in the exhaust muffler, accelerating the corrosion process.
Q2: Why should I use Nissan Genuine Exhaust Parts? Low exhaust noise
The inner structure of Nissan muffler is special designed and manufactured to meet cabin noise level specifications.
Long Service life
Service life of genuine Nissan muffler and exhaust pipes has been prolonged by the use of stainless steel that lasts 3 times longer against corrosion compared with aluminum plated steel. An inferior quality non-genuine exhaust parts may use materials that are even less anti-corrosive than aluminum plated steel.
Easy fitting
As genuine mufflers and exhaust pipes are manufactured to meet strict quality standards, the brackets fit precisely to the vehicle under body.
Road Clearance
Nissan genuine mufflers and exhaust pipes undergo thorough road contact testing, including entry to steep hills with a maximum load, to ensure they maintain the appropriate road clearance.
Drive Belt (Alternator belt, Fan Belt, Power Steering Belt, Air Conditioner Belt)
As the belts are made of rubber, they gradually become worn and harden because of friction and heat.
Serious trouble may result:
IF the power steering belt breaks, the steering will suddenly become extremely heavy.
IF fan belt breaks, water pump will not operate and engine will over-heat.
IF alternator belt breaks, battery will be discharged.
IF air conditioner belt breaks, air conditioner will not operate.
IF vacuum pump belt breaks (diesel engines), the brake pedal will suddenly become stiff, making it extremely hard to apply brakes.
Models likes X-trail and C24 QR Engine are operating with a serpentine belt that runs all of the accessories. So, if the belt breaks, you can lose your power steering, water pump and charging system immediately.
What Nissan service centres do?
Inspect the belts to check if there is any visible damage, abnormal wear or small hairline cracks every 10,000km/ 6moths, whichever comes first.
Replace any belt that shows signs of wear, cracks, fraying or oil adhesion. This is recommended that even if a belt appears to be good condition in visual inspection, it should be replaced every 40,000km/ 24 months, whichever comes first, as preventative maintenance.
Inspect the belt deflection by pushing on the belt midway between pulley with a force of 98N (10kg/221b)
Adjust if a belt deflection is too small or too large.
Advantage of Nissan Genuine Parts
Genuine Nissan belts are made of good quality materials to form precise structure and configuration matching each vehicle and engine type. They are of appropriate length so as to permit sufficient allowance for tension adjustment. These characteristics are essential for a long service life.
The factory-fitted thermal contraction belts are low maintenance products. If the belt tension decreases, the belt starts slipping and produces heat which makes the inside cords shrink, thus recovering the tension to a certain extend.
Q & A 1. What will happen if belt tension is too high or too low?
Answer: You will have problem either case.
If tension is weak, belt will slip against the pulley, and power transfer will become lower. This means, in case of fan belt, cooling power will decrease and in case of alternator belt, alternator output will decrease and may result in a weak battery that fails to work the starter. This can be easily noticed as sharp squeaking noise will be generated when racing engine.
On the other hand, excessive tension leads to short life of alternator and water pump bearing.
2. Belts used for a vehicle are all same? NO. Belts looks like same, however, length and width are slightly different. For example, you cannot use air conditioner belt in place of fan belt.
